I cringed. A little tear came to my eye. In attempt to organize my son's elementary and middle school report cards, somehow, once actually organized, they disappeared. Vanished into the bowels of plastic storage bins, I hope, not trash cans. The budding genius was not recognized in his single-digit years; newly minted teachers noted that he was easily distracted by the screaming teacher in the classroom next door or that he was so silly in class today, and said he wanted to be a hamburger for Halloween. But he participated often. I'm tickled that your parents kept your report cards, and hope that I will be as supportive in my son's artistic, Angst-filled teen years.
