Last Friday, friends and neighbors enjoyed a sunny September afternoon on Sunset Boulevard as part of Park[ing] Day, a global movement to convert parking spaces into parks for the day. We set up our de LaB-sponsored effort outside my favorite local restaurant LOCAL, who served meals in our pocket park and offered the walkers and bikers who came by complementary ice water. As I took the bus to Beverly Hills later, it was awesome to see other parks just like ours all along the way. More photos here.
