Smiley Nut ornament from Tina!

It was a treat enough to speak at today’s CreativeMornings Los Angeles, and get to meet such awesome people, and eat Coolhaus’ brown butter and candied bacon ice cream at 8am, but I was also surprised to receive this little gift, sent all the way from CreativeMornings founder Tina Roth Eisenberg in New York (aka swiss miss). It’s a Christmas ornament that’s basically a Drumsicle crossed with Hello Kitty! The chocolate and nuts look real enough to eat.

I had so much fun doing the talk, which you’ll be able to see soon: I’ll post photos and video here soon. Thanks to Tina, the awesome LA host Jon Setzen, and Promojam and Coolhaus for sponsoring. Happy Friday!

Update: Some photos by the awesome Cicilia Teng, and a write up on LAist by Heather Parlato!

Hey, thanks Alissa for an awesome presentation this morning. It was my first CreativeMornings visit, and certainly not the last.

I approached Tina about this a year ago. I'm so glad she decided to syndicate it her way. Any chance to have a Las Vegas version? I'm up for it!

Thank you, Robert! It was a lot of fun.

He gets along quite well with the other ornaments! Except for the stench.
